OthersWhatsApp features tracker has reported of all the upcoming features the messaging app is working on:
Multi-device support
The multi-device has been the most-anticipated feature that WhatsApp seems to be working on. The feature once implemented would allow people to use WhatsApp on four devices simultaneously using a single account. This means that you could log in to WhatsApp from your iPad and iPhone at the same time. WhatsApp is also working on making the chat history sync along with the multi-device support. Once the feature is implemented, users will be able to synch their chat history.
Expiring Messages
WhatsApp is reportedly working on the expiring messages feature. The speculated feature would let users automatically delete messages after seven days if you turn on the settings. For instance, if you switch the Delete Message toggle or expiring message toggle on for a particular chat, you will be able to set a time limit for your chats. In that case, you can make your message last either for an hour or a week. You also have the option to switch the Delete Message toggle off.
Search the web
WhatsApp announced a few days ago that it would be rolling out the Search The Web feature to curb the spread of **bleep** news. The feature has been rolled out in Brazil, Italy, Ireland, Mexico, Spain, UK, and the US but it is yet to arrive in India. “WhatsApp provides a special forwarded label to messages shared in chats that have been forwarded many times. These two arrows help people know when they’ve received a message that was not written by close contact. Earlier this year, we set limits on how many times they can be sent at once to maintain the private nature of WhatsApp,” the company had said in a blog.
Advanced Search Mode
WhatsApp was spotted testing the Advances Search Mode on one of its Android beta updates. The feature would allow users to search for pictures, videos, files, documents, and others on the search bar.
