Help! Can't add another Google account on my Samsung M40

I had multiple accounts but then after a restart they all went away and only my backup Google account remains. When I try to add another account it says 'plwase wait' and then the window shuts down and nothing happens. What can I do about this? Thanks

u can use samsung e mail

Yeah that works. But I need Gmail to work too as I have to use the Google Classroom app from another account. Basically no Google service is letting me add another account on this device.

go to google settings and remove ur account then try

I'm unable to remove account, the settings app crashes when I try to.

take backup n do factory reset

update your google app..
if problem persists
then go to settings-apps-google-clear data
and then again update it
ur problem is solved...
let me know if problem is solved...

I did all that but it didn't work. So now I just did a factory reset and it's adding another account fine. Thanks tho
