Hello everyone! I suppose this post of mine will draw lot of criticisms maybe. But I honestly want to know why people are so hateful towards Samsung and pissed off also.
Like yesterday only I posted a question regarding expected date of availability of One UI 5 update in Galaxy Watch 5 Pro LTE and a fellow member replied that Samsung is making fool of us.
I see people complaining about some A series getting One UI 6 Beta before S22 series. Like firstly it's beta, it's supposed to be bugged. When the final released version will be available it will have it's own charm unless we familiarise with the buggy beta version and when it will be finally released it won't feel anything new and fresh. Secondly, it's not like our current android stopped working ever since the beta released. Next year for the latest android release S24 series and the latest A series will be prioritised over S23 series. Doesn't mean we will be left out completely.
One of the key point in favour of iPhones is Apple makes both the hardware and software, so it's easy for them to provide updates. But they have a different policy towards updates. I had been an iPhone user until recently, you can trust me on this. In older iPhone, Apple cuts down many features in software updates. Recently iOS 17 released. If we check on the size of the OTA updates of different generation of iPhones and their details we can see that for ourselves.
If we consider about getting resale value, even Apple doesn't provide much buy back value to their devices.
I might have made you all bored with this lengthy post and I am sorry for that also. But this is what I felt and expressed it. If we are using a brand there must be something from within which actually made us choose it. I just want us to have faith and trust the process. We are not the ones developing the hardware or software or testing the code. There could be limitations or company policies which we don't know of.
From the posts and comments on the forum, i see the below reasons.
1. Expectations: people buy budget phones and expect samsung to provide all flagship features. Some posts also there are why 5G not working on my 4G phone.
2. Hungry for updates: people want the latest and greatest at the earliest. And that too without any bugs or issues. Also people expect latest OS updates for the devices that are at the end of the life even though all promised updates are already delivered.
3. Region locks: people buy phones from other regions and expect everything to work flawlessly where they use the phone.
4. Comparison: people purchase android phones and compare it with iOS. Which as you mentioned is great due to a good reason.
5. Needs: most people dont know what they want while purchasing the phone. Some want regular updates or best gaming. But buying budget devices does not satisfy their needs and they start hating the phone manufacturers for it.
This is the case with most phones to be honest. I have seen similar forums on Oneplus, Redmi, Poco, Motorola, Nokia and even iphones where similar complaints are there. I really wish this could be a healthy discussion but i know people are going to bash us for this 🤣
