I had a tough time when updating apps from Galaxy Store only to find out that these apps were actually outdated versions.

After updating with these outdated versions, Google Play Store used to show me that updates are available for these respective apps.

I tried reporting these apps from Galaxy Store > Settings > Contact Us, but the Error Reporting feature is not working over there.

For now, I have disabled auto update feature in Galaxy Store.

As of writing this post, I am using Galaxy Store v6.6.08.54 which is the latest version.

Outdated apps details in Galaxy Store:

- Canara Saathi 1.5 dt. 12 Dec 2019 (latest ver is 2.0.3)
- Paytm for Business 4.27.21 dt. 12 Oct 2021 (latest ver is 5.4.0)

If there are any official Samsung administrators here, kindly report the problem to the developers.

That's strange. The system doesn't allow an app to be installed/ updated if a newer version is already installed.

If an app is in deep sleep, updates to it doesn't show up in Play Store, unless enabled. But Galaxy Store likely shows updates for such apps.

As far as I know, there is some time difference between when an update shows up in each store.

Yes, it is strange but it has happened several times, especially with Canara Saathi.

Besides, Galaxy Store should consider removing outdated versions of apps for which latest versions are available in other stores like Play Store. I know this crosschecking feature would be difficult, but Samsung got to deal it around.

I think it is most likely a cache issue. The Galaxy Store is showing information from a cached page insted of the updated page.

Check the version number actually installed on your device, and not the one shown on the Galaxy Store page.

I had a similar issue recently. The Galaxy Store showed a different (older) version number. The version actually installed was newer. Go to Settings/ Apps and check the version number.

If you launch the App page in the Galaxy Store from within settings, you'll see that the Galaxy Store now reports a different (newer) version.

Check and let me know.

I checked and it is showing the same version in both the places.

So this is what I did;

1. Opened Galaxy Store app info.
2. Force stopped the app.
3. Cleared the data which also clears the cache.
4. Launched the app and it is no longer showing outdated updates.

So your guess was right, the update inform was cached or maybe some kind of bug.

There are Some issues with Galaxy Store i am seeing from 2-3 years..Sometimes it shows updates even for Uninstalled apps, Sometimes it shows update for apps updated through Play store to newest version, And many a times it show update with newest version on Galaxy Store which is not even yet arrived on Play Store..Update only Samsung utility apps through Galaxy Store while all others through Play Store only...What i have observed that when we update other same apps (which are Not from Samsung) sometimes through Galaxy Store & sometime through Play store may not work Properly many a times...And one more thing unused apps from a specific time are put in disable mode for update by Google Play Store & it won't show you the update for such apps on Play Store for that first Manually you need to enable them & then only you'll see the update here, while you'll see update for such apps also on Galaxy Store...

Yes, I have encountered the same issues you mentioned, like updates showing for uninstalled apps.

Please read my reply above and see if it helps you fix the problem.

Unfortunately, unless Samsung fixes this bug, we will be forced to repeat the above steps to fix the problem.
