After showing off the redesign last year, Google has finally released the Gmail app for Android and iOS will soon be revamped. Google unveiled the Material Theme redesign of the Gmail app at Cloud Next 2018 in July last year, and it will be rolled out to users around the world over the next few weeks.
As you can see, the prominent red bar at the top is gone and instead the app has a search box for quickly finding the right email. It brings desktop features such as density options and quick access to attachments. The active account and account switcher are located on the top bar. You will now see a large red warning message on emails that are suspected to be phishing attempts.
