Manage updates, disable notifications or decrease the brightness of the screen, are just some of the measures to extend the battery. However, there are already smart phones that last all day without having to limit their use.

1. Decrease the brightness of the screen and reduce the waiting time.
Forget the "Automatic Brightness". Manually modify the light emitted by the screen, preferring "low" indoors and "high" outdoors. You can also reduce the screen's on-time by as much as possible from 30 to 60 seconds, which helps extend the battery life of the device. Considering the times that one looks at his cell phone and the amount of photos and videos that we reproduce, it is possible to save precious seconds that would prevent the energy from being wasted.

2. Disable notifications.
Maintaining applications that are used from time to time not only occupies space in the memory of the device, but also consume battery when updated in the background and notify with alerts any related information. Samsung equipment has the option of "Device Maintenance" that will facilitate the task of disabling or restricting these activities.

3. Disable networks
Keeping Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or NFC connections active at the same time may be unnecessary if the goal is to save battery and extend the use of the device. It is recommended to activate only those that are going to be used at the moment.

4. Limit the use of GPS location
In the 'Location' section, located in Settings, it is possible to choose the applications that use GPS. Limit this use to the really necessary Apps, for example Maps, Uber or Waze.

5. Take advantage of the "Energy Saving" modes
When you have less than 10% battery available, it may be helpful to use energy saving modes. These automatically reduce the power of the processor, the brightness of the screen and eliminate vibration, or block the use of expendable applications. You can configure three saving modes: Off, Medium and Maximum, which will manage the brightness levels and applications.
