In one of the other communities, they decided to stop giving 'Expert' tag to members because they realised that it can be quite misleading.
These tags/ badges are essentially an indicator of user activity and participation in forums, and not really about product knowledge or experience.
As such, here too the admins should consider use of more appropriate terminology which isn't misleading, but instead a mere reflection of user participation/ activity.
