Changing default country for samsung apps.

Many of the users have enquired how to change default country of samsung phones, mainly because of the promotional contents available in specific regions. This issue mainly occurs when device is purchased from country A and you live in country B and you need the device default to be Country B instead of Country A.

The solution is simple. Reset your phone with a sim card of your desired country, when the phone resets and restarts it will ask whether to load the default country settings or to load settings of the SIM card. Select the option to set SIM card location as default settings and the phone will reset again. Once the device bootsup the country will change to the location of the sim card inserted.

But I think this will chang your setting everywhere for all application for ever and make you to loose data all contact detail. To regain it you will need again old sim and pass word and OTP sent on your old sim number. Non of application will recognise you with your new sim. I think one has to think before switch of sim

I purchased my device from UAE and right now I am in India. When I use samsung members app it will connect to UAE forum.
To get rid of this issue and to connect to Indian forum a hard reset is the only option. If someone need to change the default country for sure they will be changing their sim card also.
Data loss is not at all an issue. I think you haven't tried smart switch yet.

You are right so far simple dead data is concern but for any application which is connected to your sim and country identification will not recognised your new sim and you have to establish and login for your new identiy again.

Perticular example of Finacial application and account specific application. You considered as New resident of new country.

Someone who doesn't change his sim connected to financial app when he changes his country can simply be called as ignorant. I am talking about someone who is concerened about geospecific apps.
As I mentioned earlier I was in uae and my bank accounts were connected to uae number. Whatsapp and social medias were also connected to UAE number. The first thing I did when I reached India was changing my number with both Whatsapp and bank. How can I receive OTP for transactions in my UAE number while am residing permanatly in India?

I think I am confused between Permanent and Temporary Switch of sim card and country. In your case you are right.

also check google playstore policy on change of default country.. u may be able to switch currency and account only once a year in google play.

It's not necessary to change default country for playstore. I think you haven't yet realised what's the point of this post.
I have used the same payment profile with my default country as India in 3 different countries. Payment profile is not at all an issue for app language for apps downloaded from play store. No need of switiching payment profile or country in Google play when you change your location. But for samsung apps, especially for samsung members app, even after you change your country, some apps will show contents and benifits of the country you purchased the device.
But for Google play store irrespective of the country of purchase of the device, it will automatically show the apps and contents available in the current location you are using the phone.

Google play will show country of your location but it will give service available to country setting in your GOOGLE ACCOUNT.Change of Country setting is advised to be done once in year. Refer to Google App store in setting of account.
