Call recording might sound like the most basic of features, but the reality is that it isn’t available in every country for owners of Samsung Galaxy smartphones. Local laws in different regions and jurisdictions limit availability of the feature for many owners, at least as a built-in function in the default dialer app that comes preloaded on Samsung’s smartphones, leaving third-party apps as the only option.
In fact, it’s pretty hard to know if your country supports call recording other than checking the dialer app settings and seeing if the feature is listed in there. However, it seems folks on the internet have figured out the full list of markets where call recording comes built-in on Galaxy smartphones.
Here’s the full list, and it’s a pretty short one:
Bangladesh
Egypt
India
Indonesia
Israel
Laos
Libya
Nepal
Sri Lanka
Thailand
Tunisia
Ukraine
Vietnam
It’s worth noting that call recording may not be available in Samsung’s dialer app even if recording calls is legal in your state or country, so again, it’s a matter of simply checking for yourself if the functionality exists on your Samsung Galaxy smartphone.
