I just wanted to know why it is said that you shouldn't charge your phone all the way upto 100. I have been using my phone for like an year, and i have been charging it to 100. Is it too late for me to start the best way of charging or is it just a myth?
Well, not actually a myth though. If you are a user who wants to use the use phone for like 3-4 years and get a decent performance from your battery, its something that you must apply in your day to day charging methods. Li-ion batteries can provide their best performance in the first 2 years of their usage, later on their performance decrease. In order to slow down the degradation, it is said to charge your phone when it is around 25-20% and charge all the way upto only 80-85%. Some phones actually do that by their own, like rog and all, as they have built-in thingy. Its a healthy charging habit though. Hope this helps.
