A couple of days after publishing details about the April 2019 security patch, Samsung has kickstarted the rollout of the latest monthly update starting with the Galaxy Note 8. It appears the update is out since yesterday in Netherlands, Germany, Russia, Italy, and a few other regions. This comes just days after the carrier variants of the Note 8 in the US started receiving the Android Pie update with March security patch.

The April update bumps the software version, which varies by region, to N950FXXS5DSC5 in the Netherlands. Other than security fixes, the release doesn’t seem to bring any other notable changes to the Note 8. As detailed in the security bulletin, the April 2019 Security Maintenance Release (SMR) fixes five critical and dozens of high-risk Android OS vulnerabilities. It also patches fifteen Samsung Vulnerabilities and Exposures (SVE) items of varying severities.
