Why doesn't Samsung have an app lock?

Samsung is known for the extensive features its phones provide. It has so many features and tricks for doing almost everything. Except, using an app lock.

Why doesn't Samsung provide an inbuilt app lock? All other 3rd party app locks can be disabled by just going in the recent activities and stopping the background task.

I understand that you have very good things like secure folder in place but come on, secure folder and applock are two different things!

I have to solely rely on the inbuilt applock some apps provide (like Whatsapp, LinkedIn, etc.). What about the apps which do not have an inbuilt applock?

My previous phone was a Tecno budget phone and guess what, that budget phone had an app lock!

I was shocked to know that Samsung being such a big brand and one of the Android's King doesn't have an app lock.

Please fix this issue Samsung!

Well ... After getting used to Secure Folder you will not feel the absence of AppLock... Secure Folder does work like an AppLock if you set it up correctly...

I was facing the same issue after upgrading from A51 (it is an older Samsung phone, so it has S Secure support today too).

After setting up Secure Folder and adding my apps and data to it, I don't feel the difference...

Yeah, the only difference is that now I have to stick to Samsung's default launcher 😅...

I also use secure folder it's good but if I have a message app like WhatsApp out of secure folder and I have a file inside of secure folder then I have to move file and it's annoying to do this continuously or I want to lock my gallery app or settings app etc

Its simple for samsung to add app lock option in security settings. Why they are not integrating it considering security?

It isn't as easy to implement considering Samsung takes security very seriously but yes, this feature should exist!
