My Galaxy
The current Galaxy AI features are not very useful in the Indian context. While image editing (via diffusion models) is appreciated, the most impactful AI features today come from LLMs – language understanding, summarization, voice commands, etc.
However, there are several issues:
Limited Language Support: Galaxy AI currently only supports Hindi and English, which doesn’t reflect the linguistic diversity of India.
When a user speaks in an unsupported language, the AI tries to transcribe it in Hindi, resulting in gibberish output. This is frustrating and confusing.
Ideally, the system should detect unsupported languages and handle them gracefully, rather than forcing incorrect transcriptions.
Recommendation: Samsung should prioritize native language support for major Indian languages like Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, etc., to make the features more inclusive and practical.
Improve the summarization feature – currently, it fails to process long paragraphs, stating the length is too much. This defeats the purpose of summarization, which is especially needed for longer content.
Enhance language detection to identify unsupported languages and respond appropriately, instead of producing incorrect or meaningless transcriptions.
