Awareness Can Save
India and Pakistan are both nuclear-armed nations. In today’s geopolitical climate, it's vital for civilians—not just defense personnel—to understand basic safety measures in case of a nuclear emergency.

While the blast itself is devastating, radiation exposure is often far deadlier and longer-lasting. Hiroshima and Nagasaki taught the world that knowledge and swift action can be the difference between life and death.

If such a crisis ever occurs, here’s what you must know:
1. Seek Shelter Immediately – Don’t run outside. Stay indoors, preferably in a basement or a concrete-walled room.
2. Remain Inside for 24 Hours – Radiation peaks during the first 24 hours. Avoid going out at all costs.
3. Remove Exposed Clothing – Your clothes may carry radioactive particles. Seal them in a plastic bag and keep away from others.
4. Shower with Soap – Clean gently without scrubbing. Wipe eyes, nose, and ears with a clean cloth.
5. Use Only Sealed Food & Water – Avoid exposed or unpackaged items. Stick to sealed bottles and packets.

India’s Operation Sindoor is a reminder of our nation’s preparedness and resolve. But as responsible citizens, we must also be ready—mentally and practically.

Let’s stay alert, informed, and help spread awareness.
