Hi all,

I have a new Samsung smart TV, QN90D.

Firmware is up to date and connected to the internet with my samsung account.

The product webpage and documentation list the availability of the Samsung Gaming Hub.

However, on the sidebar menu of Smart Hub on the TV, there is no Samsung Gaming Hub. I tried switching the TV to Game Mode, but unfortunately, it is still not available on the sidebar.

Please could you kindly assist?

Thank you.

I also have a similar question... have you tried using Samsung Dex on it? Right now, it seems that's the only way to play mobile games on bigger screens like T.Vs and Laptops

No, I haven't tried Samsung Dex on it yet.

For PC work, I have a fairly powerful laptop connected to two 4K monitors. For gaming, it's connected to an AW3423DWF widescreen monitor.

My kids have an Xbox connected via HDMI, which works perfectly on the TV in game mode.

I really wanted to test the GeForce Now and Xbox Live capabilities to see how it handles the gaming services. However, I have since confirmed with a Samsung representative that this Gaming Hub feature is not available in our region. There are only nine supported regions currently. Since gaming streaming, such as GeForce Now, only recently became available to us locally, we will have to wait for Samsung to update the firmware to support our region.

Overall, I am very happy with the TV. It did take some calibration and tweaking to get the best picture configuration for movies, streaming, and general media. After that, it looks absolutely fantastic.

Yeah. We miss out on a lot of features because of our region. Apparently, the government has a lot of rules and regulations, and it could be part of the reason our software updates aren't as quick as in other countries.. we also don't get full features listed because of some rules and regulations.

Thanks for explaining your experience because I've really been thinking of upgrading my T.V to a Samsung

You will definitely enjoy it. It is a fantastic TV for 4K HDR. You can take a look here  for my calibration and settings. Note that this was done with professional mode smart calibration.

I went on youtube, there is a tutorial to change your region with your smart remote and you reset the hub as well. I've set my region to usa. Although some apps needs a dns server to register out of south africa,I got the samsung health app that sync with my watch on work outs and my vitals appear on the screen, hulu, and Alexa also becomes available, but unfortunately you will loose the ability to log into disney plus and dstv ,because it's bound to our region, but for that I've got android box with these apps connected to it. Xbox cloud gaming loads, but takes very long to load content,I've got a,500meg line.

In that case, I'll rather wait for Samsung to properly support our region and services rather than having to fiddle to get things to work. The gaming hub is more of a nice-to-have service addition right now.

Same here, I love tinkering. It took me a while to find the correct calibration for this TV, but once it's done, it's absolutely magnificent. 😄
