Since the launch, the Samsung Galaxy S23 series phones have gone through various tests – whether it’s the test of internals, performance, or durability. Now the high-end Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra smartphone has appeared in a gaming test and unfortunately, it is beaten by many Android and iOS devices.
The exclusive chipset was expected to deliver much better gaming performance compared to the regular version and the previous-gen SoCs. But apparently, this is not the truth.
The YouTuber tested multiple high-end smartphones on the popular Genshin Impact game. Unfortunately, the S23 Ultra was not even on the list of the 10 best game performers.
Not only the regular version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, but Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 devices have also outperformed the smartphone. Even the last year’s Apple iPhone SE managed to get a place near the Galaxy S23 Ultra.
According to the information, the Galaxy S23 Ultra only records an average of 55 FPS, much lower than the Xiaomi 13 Pro which gained 59.4 FPS and topped the test. On the other hand, the 8+ Gen 1-powered Xiaomi 12T Pro and Xiaomi 12S Ultra beat have 59.2 and 57.7 FPS, respectively.
Another Chinese brand, Vivo also managed to give better gaming performance compared to S23 Ultra. The Vivo X90 Pro Plus with 8 Gen 2 chip has 58.4 FPS and the Vivo X90 with Dimensity 9200 has 57.5 FPS scores.
At the same time, the iPhone 14 Pro Max having Apple A16, and iPhone 14 Plus having Apple A15 chips have FPS scores of 58.4 and 57.5 respectively.
