Define the type of Game. Pinball Space? No less than a single core chip clocked at 500mhz Anno 1800? I get around 45fps On my i7 8700k. Had to swap it out for a i9 9900k and overclocked it at 4.7ghz to get 60fps in that game. So it entirely depends on the game you are playing. But you should get an i5 8th or 9th Gen for decent gaming performance.
