As we all are anxiously waiting for the ui7 update rollout, here are few tips which we may adhere to for smooth upgradation
1. Keep you handset with minimum 80% charge. The more the better
2. Since the update is approx 5.6GB, it will surely generate lots of heat. Thus it will be prudent to download the update in a cool environment
3. Do not keep the handset under charge during update download under any cost.
4. If the handset was charging then let it cool down prior update download
5. Many has reported green line after update because of heat that why the above precautions are necessary
6. Since there was a bug issue about lock and unlock of system, it will be prudent to disable all lock screen methods including face and finger scan
7. Once the download is complete, let the handset cool down before installing the update thus avoiding any damage to the internal power strip and/or the screen
8. To avoid extra heat generation, remove all types of covers from the handset
9. Close and/or exit from all apps before/or while downloading /installing the update. Minimise background operations
10. Please share your opinions so that the S24 series and other handset update is smooth and trouble-free
These tips would actually be needed to be kept in mind while downloading the update. Also one more tip that I would like to add to this. Before even starting to download the update, start video recording without any cuts so that incase green line does come, you would have proof that it indeed was due to software update and not physical damage. Incase samsung does reject, you would have proof to submit in consumer court incase you do go that route!
