Instead of you (Quick Share) adapting Google's nearby share it should have been other way around, it made quick share worse!
Now not only quick share needs Bluetooth to transfer but it takes too long to scan for nearby devices same issue that nearby share had and quick share didn't!
Btw I was transferring between Samsung devices which normally shows other Samsung devices in sharesheet itself, but I had to turn on bluetooth after that it was scanning for a while, what's the point if "Quick" Share not quick!
Fix this!
1. Fix so I don't require to turn on Bluetooth to transfer files (which was the best thing about quick share over nearby share)
2. Keep Quick share for contacts always on so I can quickly share files from sharesheet itself!
3. Either remove nearby share( which ain't possible, I know) or make a option to disable it in settings or make Google adapt with your Quick Share tech!
True but if you add something new the already present stuff shouldn't go buggy, quick share was working great between my Samsung devices, but now it's just not working as reliably as before!
Btw if anyone wants to revert back to old version where nearby share is not a part of quick share, then uninstall the quick share from all apps page in settings so it'll revert back to factory version which would be just before the nearby share version!
What I did is uninstalled updates for Quickshare connect app and disabled from auto updating. Now turning on BT is not required between my Samsung devices.
