Hi, software and security updates are necessary for your phone, they can repair security holes and you can get new features, Updates also tackle a host of bugs and performance issues like battery performance, WiFi stability, camera enhancements etc...

Good afternoon, for myself I've been using Samsung devices since the Galaxy S3 back in 2012, i regularly update my device software once available, the software gets better every time, I never had any bad experience with any software update so far 🙌🏼 , whenever companies produces any device they simply install the available version of android but like any software it won't be 100% perfect, that's why developers keeps on monitoring the software looking to fix any errors, glitches, bugs.
That's what you get from a software update besides the new features and enhancements.
It's more like when you draw a paint it won't be completely perfect, but with some retouch effort you will get the best paint possible 💓

For that I don't know the exact date, all I know Android 11 beta is under development, so hopefully we can see the stable version before end of the year.

if you don't want to update it is okay to keep it untouched. Because Samsung update never increases better performance but it may do the opposite. if you need some new features or security update then go for an update. if you are are person who doesn't care for new features then don't update. all phones are released with best optimised software during manufacturing if you are not interested then don't update
