I've started observing this now for a while on my galaxy s8.
while I'm watching videos on any browser, my Galaxy s8 screen first gets dim then it turn off.
This is driving me mad now.
I know im missing something here, but it did not used to happen previously.
To avoid this I have to constantly keep tapping on the screen to turn off.

I have set screen time out to 30sec. But I'm using these settings back from when I was using Galaxy s4.

Please guide how to solve this issue.

check smart stay option in your phone settings . its not a bug or glitch , the way web browsers engine designed now they do respond it as only web content not as a video player . so enable smart stay option

I have it turned on from the day I started using galaxy series. All these settings I have migrated from my galaxy S4. It wasn't like this before. Maybe after 1st April's update this started happening.
I appreciate your comment but please suggest something else as this does not solve my problem.

increase timeout screen to 1 min or use smart stay in gestures under advanced features in settings

Smart stay doesn't help in this case , I already tried smart stay but nothing really happen. This issue is occuring in the current version of chrome.
