light notification

For new phones without dedicated led notification, how can I set edge lighting to always light until I clear the notification.

Any suggestion?

thanks for the reply.. can you please transfer my request to developers.. to activate few punch of LEDs on the screen to act as an indicator for any notification like the traditional dedicated led.
