I tried connecting  my wd HDD to my galaxy  s10 lite.samsung file manager is not detecting them.Same OTG usb pen drive is connecting  fine

other apps says that some problem in the hard disk and format the HDD

Inbuilt file manager doesn't support NTFS format so it can't detect your HDD.

You need to download ES file explorer app .

I purchase a genuine Samsung USB adaptor for my S10 lite (2020 model) so I could read stick drives, and it wouldn`t work still. I went on this link above and it has now allowed me to do this. GREAT ADVICE-THANKS

ES file manager also not supporting WD passport.

You can use microsoft Microsoft exFAT/NTFS for USB by Paragon Software to mount the hard drive and use total commander to use it it works just fine for me
