Hi there here are some reasons for heating up.

1. Samsung phones usually do tend to heat up more compared to others especially during summer season.

2. During update installation it uses a lot of resources so it also makes phone get hot,

3. Even after update is completely installed and phone boots up, there are still many background optimisation process will be going on, which causes phone to lag and heat up even though you are not using any apps.

4. Now for solutions for your issue that might help, remove any phone case/cover installed as it prevents heat dissipation. Also when phone is hot thermal throttling kicks in and whatever optimisation phone is doing it gets postponed. Give your phone a couple of restarts, that sometimes helps clear temporary files and also help finish optimisation process faster.

If you are noticing reduced battery life then put your phone for over night charge for a couple of days it helps recalibrate battery.

If above things are not worked then connect your phone to a PC Via charing cable then restart your phone once phone is off press and hold volume down and power button, to enter recovery screen there use volume button to navigate then clear chache memory. Then reboot to normal.

Hope this helps... if it does then click on 3 dot and select resolved

These have worked for me, I use dual sim both on 5G on my S22ultra, with GPS, mobile data always ON, my phone is on oven mode most of the time in summer. And it refuses to charge faster many times in summer so removing back cover does wonders most of the time
