Hey everyone, I'm using the Galaxy S21 FE (Exynos), and I'm from India. After the recent update, my phone was working just fine. But after I put it on charge and then woke it up, I noticed a white vertical line on the screen. It's still there and hasn’t gone away since.

Just to be clear: The phone hasn’t been dropped or damaged in any way. I’ve already tried restarting and even did a full factory reset, but the issue is still there. I've seen quite a few others here in the community mention the same thing, so it looks like a common issue.

Does anyone know if this is something that could be fixed in a future update? Or is replacing the AMOLED screen the only option? Also, since I’m out of warranty, is there any chance Samsung would cover the screen replacement if this turns out to be a known fault? Would really appreciate any advice or experiences from others who faced the same issue. Thanks!

I have got same issue today. I updated to one UI7 last week and it was alright. No damage was done in this time until today and the line has suddenly popped up. My phone is also out of 3 years of free replacement and it doesn't make sense to put 15k in the phone, which is what samsung wants exactly, to but a new samsung, as you cannot get rid of the things you are used to. Pathetic, going on lines of one plus.

Dear Samsung Support Team,

I am writing to raise a complaint regarding my Samsung Galaxy S21 FE (Model: SM-G990E), which is currently facing two major issues:

 1. Display White Line Issue

After a recent software update (Firmware:G990EXXSEGYE1) waiting for install (Firmware: G990E0DMFGYF1), a white vertical line suddenly appeared on the display.

This line is always visible — even in Safe Mode and after a reboot. I confirmed it's not a software glitch, as the line does not appear in screenshots.

I believe this may be due to a display hardware issue, which has coincidentally appeared after the latest firmware update.

 2. Back Panel Loosening

Additionally, the back door of the phone became loose on its own. Due to urgency and safety concerns, I had to temporarily fix it using glue for emergency use.

This should not happen on a premium Samsung device, and I request your support in getting this inspected and resolved at an authorized service center.

Device Details:

Model: Samsung Galaxy S21 FE (SM-G990E)

Firmware Version: UPDATED G990EXXSEGYE1/ PENDING G990E0DMFGYF1
Issue Observed Since: [13/06/2025]

Location: Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu

Request:

Kindly register my complaint and provide a resolution, either out of warranty (if eligible) or with an affordable solution. Please advise me on the next steps for inspection and repair.

I have been a loyal Samsung user and expect a reliable solution for what appears to be a growing issue among S21 FE users.

Looking forward to your response

Guy's I got an update from the authorised service centre. Samsung gives a free display change only if we sent our device to noida for checking and then only they will give a free display change otherwise we want to buy a paid display. Service centre does not give that free replacement there itself and the required time to get the phone back is upto 30 days! Which is a pathetic situation for 30 days without device or we want to buy another! It's the only possible resolution they gave me! 😐
