Immediate Steps:
1. Turn off the phone immediately: Do not try to use the phone. Powering it on can cause a short circuit.
 2. Rinse with fresh water: Quickly rinse the phone with clean, fresh water to remove salt. While it might sound counterintuitive, this helps dilute the corrosive salt.
3. Dry the phone: Shake the phone gently to remove excess water. Dry it thoroughly with a microfiber cloth or towel.
 4. Avoid charging or turning it on: Don’t plug it in or use it until you’re sure it’s completely dry. 5. Use silica gel or rice: Place the phone in a bag filled with silica gel packets or uncooked rice for at least 48 hours to absorb moisture.

If Speed Charging is Not Working:
1. Clean the charging port: Use a soft brush or toothpick to carefully remove any salt deposits from the charging port. You can also use isopropyl alcohol (90% or higher) to clean the port, as it evaporates quickly and removes residue.
 2. Test another cable and adapter: The issue might be with the accessories, not the phone itself.
3. Check for moisture detection: Samsung phones often disable charging if moisture is detected. Wait for the internal sensors to clear the warning.
4. Visit a repair center: If speed charging still doesn’t work, salt corrosion might have damaged the port or internal components. Take the phone to an authorized repair center for inspection
Prevention Tips: Use a waterproof pouch for your phone near water. If you’re near seawater often, consider getting a waterproof phone case.

I had incident with my phone twicd this week and I will NOT recommend rice. It leaves residue causing higher risk jn damaging port.
Best way tested by me for normal tap water is shake, cotton swap, hair dryer, sunlight during day time warmer hours.
I think your steps are great for sea water damages but never use rice it always a risk of damaging port.

Thanks for your input! I completely agree—rice can cause more harm than good. I’ve also noticed residue issues with it. Your alternative methods, especially shaking and using a cotton swab, sound like solid steps for fresh water damage. For seawater, the extra cleaning steps are definitely crucial due to the salt. It’s all about minimizing damage and getting the phone back to working condition safely!
