What is OM Customize on S8+ ??

Hello everyone,

I see this app pre installed on my s8+ when I got it. Anyone have any idea what is app does ? I googled it and found that in s7, its a bloatware from phone carrier and it drains battery in those mobiles. So far its not doing anything major on my s8+.

I am in India and my phone is not binded with any phone contracts. Using a prepaid sim with it now.

Any info is appreciated. Screenshots attached.

it's there in all the samsung phone. OM stand for original Manufacturer

It's used to customize the content of the sim menu, if your sim card supports it. Like bsnl and DOCOMO does. You can download new content

Is there any chance to remove this?
