Hi AlexRC

If you are noticing battery draining issues with your Galaxy device, there are some steps to try before heading into your nearest service centre.

*Optimise all Apps

1.  Navigate to Settings, and then tap Battery and device care.

2. Tap Optimize now. Device care will automatically optimize your apps.

* Adjust App power management

1. Navigate to Settings, and then tap Battery and device care. Next, tap Battery, and then tap Background usage limits.

On some models, you will need to tap Device care, tap Battery, and then tap App power management instead.

2. Adjust your desired settings.

You can choose from the following settings:

  • Put unused apps to sleep will automatically put apps to sleep if they have not been used for a while.
  • Sleeping apps allows you to choose the apps that won't run in the background. You can view your current sleeping apps as well.
  • Deep sleeping apps will never run in the background and will only work when you open them.
  • Never sleeping apps allows you to choose which apps will not automatically be set to sleeping mode.
