Dear Samsung member,

Greetings from Samsung customer support.

Thank you for sharing your concern. We acknowledge your query and apologize for the same. And please follow the easy troubleshooting steps which might help to solve the issue.
Kindly use a genuine Samsung cable.

Verify the following.
Verify your account is in good standing with your carrier and you have the correct data plan. Most mobile service providers require you to have an additional hotspot or tethering plan on your account.
If you have changed carriers, tethering may not work because the function cannot contact your previous carrier. Contact your new carrier to find out about their hotspot or tethering plans.
Check that mobile data is currently enabled and working on your device.
Get the proper drivers on your computer.
Download and install the Samsung USB drivers to your computer. To do this, plug the phone into your computer using the USB charging cable that came with your phone. The drivers should install automatically.

If the correct driver is not installed automatically, download and install the driver from the Samsung Download Center.

If the computer doesn't respond, contact the computer's manufacturer for assistance with USB devices.

Turn on USB tethering.
While the phone is still plugged into the computer, navigate to Settings, and then search for and select Mobile Hotspot and Tethering. Tap the switch next to USB tethering.

The USB tethering option will only be available if the phone is connected to a computer or another device. The option will be grayed out if no device is found.

In case the issue still occurs. Please register your concern in Samsung Members Application (Open Samsung Members Application > Get help > Send Feedback >Error report).

Thank you for writing to Samsung.
Warm regard,
Samsung customer support
