My Experience at Samsung Service Center
Today To avoid long queues, I booked an appointment at the Samsung service center for the 5–6 PM slot after work. I reached on time, but despite having a confirmed booking, I still had to wait for almost an hour. This made the whole purpose of advance booking feel useless. When my turn finally came, I explained my issue. My Galaxy S22+ suddenly developed a pink line on the display after the recent update. I showed them my bill and also mentioned Samsung’s one-time free display replacement policy for green/pink line issues. To my surprise, they denied any such policy and said free replacement is only possible under warranty. Since my device is 2 years old, they told me I must pay the full amount. I then informed them that Samsung Support had earlier confirmed my device is eligible for a free replacement and even showed them the screenshot as proof.

The screenshot which I got from my previous post showed them this.

At this point, the staff member seemed irritated, went inside a backroom, and returned after a few minutes. She took my phone, checked it, and claimed it had “dents and scratches.” Honestly, my phone has no dent at all—only minor side scratches that are normal for a 2-year-old device. But they still refused the replacement, saying these scratches disqualify me. I was stunned. What some small side scratches had to with the pink line I got on display that clearly appeared after a software update? Eventually, they refused to proceed and I asked for the jobsheet so I can share to Samsung support to assist In this situation, they gave me a job sheet, which I later received by mail. Shockingly, the job sheet stated: “Display line issue, scratches on sides all over set, and dent in corner.” This is completely misleading and doesn’t reflect the actual condition of my phone they exaggerated it and did this intentionally so that Samsung support also reject me from this free replacement policy and what's the logic behind and relation between this line I got and some normal wear and tear . I left the service center feeling deeply disappointed and cheated. I had invested my hard-earned money into a flagship Samsung device, trusted the brand, and now this pink line issue has ruined the phone through no fault of mine. I had even planned to upgrade to the S24 Ultra during the next sale, but after this experience, I’ve lost trust in Samsung. I’m attaching my device images here so people can judge for themselves whether it really has “dents and scratches all over the set” What should I do next? Any guidance would help. If someone from Samsung is reading this, I request you to look into this matter seriously. Right now, I honestly feel cheated. After this experience, it’s hard to consider buying another Samsung phone in the future.

Facing the same issue with my S22 ultra after the latest software update. I waited at the Service centre for 45 mins after which the Service person told me to come the next day and as per Samsung guidelines, I will have to pay for a new screen. Eligible for a replaced screen only within 3 years of purchase. If a software update has done this to my phone, Samsung should be responsible in correcting this. There were many others at the Service centre with the same issue.

Guys. File consumer grievance in below URL
http://www.consumerhelpline.gov.in/
You will get response. People from headoffice will call you and not the customer support outsourcing staff. They will help you. I did and mine even after 3 years they offered to replace display of s22 ultra with service charge.
