I have noticed that recently when I take out my phone from my pocket it will display "too many failed password attempts and it locks me out". Yesterday I was locked out for 7 hours and this is getting annoying and grossly inconvenient.

I have tried everything I can but I seem not to be winning. This started only a few weeks ago. Please help

Hi try these : Go to Settings > Display. Scroll down and enable Accidental touch protection .This feature prevents the screen from activating when it detects it's in a pocket or dark environment.

Use a PIN or Password instead of a Pattern. Alternatively, enable Fingerprint unlocking for quick and secure access.

Ensure your phone screen isn’t accidentally turned on while in your pocket:Double-check that Double tap to wake or Lift to wake is disabled:
Go to Settings > Advanced features > Motions and gestures > Disable Double tap to turn on screen and Lift to wake.
