The Simple Memo feature relies on the Samsung Notes app. If it's not installed or has been disabled, the Simple Memo app may not function properly. To check:
Open the Galaxy Store.
Search for Samsung Notes and install or enable it if necessary.
Once installed, try opening the Simple Memo app again.
2. Clear Cache and Data of Samsung Notes
Corrupted cache or data can cause apps to malfunction. To clear them:
Go to Settings > Apps > Samsung Notes.
Tap on Storage.
Select Clear Cache and then Clear Data.
> ⚠️ Note: Clearing data may remove locally stored notes, but cloud-synced notes should remain intact.
3. Check App Permissions
Ensure that Samsung Notes has all the necessary permissions:
Go to Settings > Apps > Samsung Notes > Permissions.
Grant all required permissions.
4. Update the App
An outdated version of the app can cause issues. To update:
Open the Galaxy Store.
Search for Samsung Notes.
If an update is available, tap Update.
5. Reinstall Samsung Notes
If the above steps don't work, reinstalling the app might help:
Go to Settings > Apps > Samsung Notes.
Tap Uninstall.
After uninstallation, reinstall the app from the Galaxy Store.
6. Prevent Samsung Notes from Sleeping
If the app is restricted in the background, it may not function correctly:
Go to Settings > Battery and device care > Battery > Background usage limits.
Tap on Never sleeping apps.
Add Samsung Notes to this list.
7. Re-sign In to Your Samsung Account
Authentication issues can affect app functionality:
Go to Settings > Accounts and backup > Manage accounts.
Select your Samsung account and tap Remove account.
After removal, tap Add account, select Samsung account, and sign in again.
