I recently noticed some minor scratches on my screen. I don't have a screen guard as I don't want to ruin the beauty of my Infinity Display. I put only my phone in the right pant pocket in which I don't keep any other thing. But it still managed to get scratches. Now I feel very sad for a Gorilla Glass 5 to get these scratches just because of my pants! I want to replace the screen with a new one. The phone is still under warranty and I have the insurance too. So please let me know how to get the screen replaced with the lowest of the cose or for free!

No. Warranty won't cover screen replacement. If you purchased this device without "Never Mind" offer, you should pay around Rs. 14, 000 for S8. S8 plus may cost more for screen replacement. I am not sure if insurance will cover this just because this is not a damage according to them. Check with insurance provider and let us know.

Well the store people at the time of purchase said that I will have to Rs. 990 for screen replacement for 1 year from the time of purchase. So I will have to check that out.

That's Never Mind offer from Samsung. You are lucky to have that. Go ahead and replace it for 990 if the screen looks bad. Be sure that you check your phone thoroughly before leaving the service center. My personal experience..

Check camera particularly the front one and also check if the virtual home button on the screen is too sensitive or not. Screen and back cover will be replaced together.

Give a call to the service center before starting. Enquire about the cost as well as availability of screen replacement for your phone color. Good luck

Thanks for being with Samsung and for sharing your query. We would like to inform you that the device physical damage is not covered under warranty. We would suggest you to visit nearby Samsung Service Center so service engineer will examine your device physically. Please find service center details in the link provided http://www.samsung.com/in/support/servicelocation .
