Samsung x OneDrive | Gallery Sync Error

I have been trying to link my OneDrive account to my Samsung Gallery so that I can sync my photos on OneDrive through my Samsung gallery. But every time, no matter what I try, a "Server error occurred, try again later" message appears. This does not happen when I try a different Microsoft account, but I need it to work on the Microsoft account it is rejecting because that is the one I have 100 GB of OneDrive storage with.

I have done the basics: restarting, uninstalling and reinstalling, signing out and signing back in, waiting a while, and I do have sufficient cloud storage. I have also checked my account status, and nothing is linked to my Samsung account that might prevent me from linking my OneDrive account.

Does anyone have an idea on how I can fix this? If so, please help. I've read online of many people struggling with the same issue, so this would help them too.

Hi @Dunx. Is the Microsoft account you are trying to sync with a personal account, or is it an organisation account?

Hi @DL90 , thank you for responding. The Microsoft account is a personal account.

Try to check for updates of both the Gallery app in the Galaxy Store and OneDrive in the playstore. If they are updated already... open the OneDrive app, tap on Me, and then settings... under Samsung photos, select Gallery sync. Check that the toggle is turned on and the "sync using" section shows WiFi and mobile data. Tap Albums to sync and turn on all Albums.

If you have two Microsoft accounts on your device, try to remove one.

Thank you for helping so far. Both my OneDrive and Gallery are up to date. I signed out my second Microsoft account and only have the one I want to sync with signed in, but the issue remains the same. I did have a look on OneDrive, but I can not find the option for "under Samsung photos, select Gallery sync." The only option I have is the normal camera backup on OneDrive, and I do not wish to use the OneDrive camera backup feature. I still wish to use the sync option in my Samsung Gallery with OneDrive, which still says, "Server error occurred, try again later."

Let me try to guide you using screenshots. Backup works differently from sync...1722426902165.jpg1722426902205.jpg1722426902259.jpg1722426902296.jpg

Then, also try to go to your device settings, tap on your Samsung Profile, then scroll down to "linked accounts" and unlink the other account you don't want to use.

Thank you for the guided screenshots. Unfortunately, I checked my OneDrive, and I don't have that section in my OneDrive... I don't know why. Also, I only have spotify linked to my account. What do you think could be the problem? Also, I tried to link my Microsoft account on another device's gallery, and the same error "Server error" occurred, but yet again, not with a different Microsoft account. Could it be my Samsung account that's the issue?1722452600274.jpg

What version of OneDrive are you on? Long press on the OneDrive icon and then tap on the small i in a small circle in the top right... then scroll down until you see version. And is Sync with OneDrive enabled in your Samsung Gallery settings?
