The One UI 7 update for the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra has been officially released in India as of early May 2025. The update carries firmware version S908EXXUCFYDA and includes the April 2025 security patch.
Why You Might Not Have Received It Yet:
Samsung typically rolls out major updates in phases. This means that even within the same country, the update might reach devices at different times. Factors influencing this phased rollout include:
Device Model and Variant: Different models (e.g., carrier-locked vs. unlocked) may receive updates at different times.
Carrier Approvals: If your device is tied to a specific carrier, the update might be delayed pending carrier testing and approval.
Regional Distribution: Samsung may prioritize certain regions or batches of devices based on various logistical considerations.
What You Can Do:
1. Check for Updates Manually:
Navigate to Settings > Software Update > Download and Install to see if the update is available for your device.
2. Ensure Device Eligibility:
Confirm that your device model is eligible for the update and that there are no restrictions based on your carrier or region.
3. Be Patient:
If the update isn't available yet, it's likely in the queue and should arrive soon.
