Even though your phone is a US variant, it needs to be used woth a USA SIM card only. So you wont receive beta in case that combination is broken. Its a bs technique implemented by samsung to keep the region restriction so as to maintain the fluency of bugs faced on networks on USA remains restricted to users in USA.
