Galaxy SHi, I have been using Samsung Galaxy S22+ for about three weeks now and I noticed that the battery life of this device is poor. I know it has a smaller capacity battery but still I notice abnormal battery drains daily. The average idle drain(during nights when I absolutely don't use the phone) is 8%. I use mobile data instead of Wi-Fi 90% of the times and I use the phone only to browse FB, Insta, Youtube, WhatsApp and some streaming apps. I literally don 't do gaming and I have literally no games installed. And yet the phone is struggling to get an SOT of 5 hours. I have done everything suggested on various Samsung forums like turning off Adaptive battery, turning on battery saver, keeping brightness low, putting apps to deep sleep, like EVERYTHING. But there is no noticeable difference. My phone is also up to date. My query is is this mobile phone 's battery life supposed to be like this?(If yes, I couldn't imagine how it would be a couple of years later!) Or is there a defect in my device?
P.S. I have also raised a service request but they just sent a reply with "Steps to improve your battery life" and closed the request without even answering my actual query.

Galaxy SDear Samsung member,
Greetings from Samsung customer support.
Thank you for sharing your concern. We acknowledge your query and apologize for the same. And please follow the easy troubleshooting steps which might help to solve the issue.
Battery optimization helps you to boost the battery performance of your device. To check battery optimization:
Settings > Select Device Maintenance/Device Care > Optimize > Optimize all options like Battery, Storage and Memory
Kindly turn off the smart features of the device and other connectivity features when not in use, which will eventually help you to reduce battery power consumption (smart features such as Motion gestures in advance feature and Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Hotspot, etc.).
Please follow the below steps:
1. Swipe down on the home screen to open the notification panel.
2. Tap on Bluetooth, Location/GPS, Wi-Fi, Mobile hotspot, NFC, etc. to turn off.
In case the issue still occurs. Please register your concern in Samsung Members Application (Open Samsung Members Application > Get help > Send Feedback > Error report).
Thank you for writing to Samsung.
Warm regard,
Samsung customer support
