latest build of One UI 8.0 for the Galaxy S25 Ultra, BYE2, contains substantial changes. The headlining update here is to Samsung DeX. It is getting a modern touch, with a modern Quick Settings design, alongside a refreshed Search UI and App Drawer. Floating Windows also get a redesign, looking more like the new desktop windows in stock Android.
Older Galaxy Buds finally get integration within Quick Settings
With One UI 7.0, you can control the sound mode of your Galaxy Buds right within the Quick Settings. But this only works for Galaxy Buds 3 and Buds 3 Pro, not for older models. That changes with One UI 8.0. Now Buds 2 and Buds 2 Pro will appear, and possibly even Galaxy Buds FE, allowing you to change ANC modes on the fly.
One UI 8.0 brings even more blur
We have seen the various blurry dialogs coming to One UI, and that continues to spread to more apps. Now, the native Screen Recorder gets a blurred background on its dialog.
Quick Share gets even more changes
Quick Share is getting a substantial facelift in One UI 8.0. This work continues with this new build, with a new header on the Send tab, and a sleek slide animation between the two pages.
Secure Folder adapts Android’s Private Space
Finally, the Secure Folder feature is now moving to Android’s Private Space, instead of switching profiles. This should help protect everything contained within that secure environment, avoiding scenarios
