Hi everyone,

I'm facing an issue with edge lighting notifications on my Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra. I’ve set up Edge lighting style for app notifications, but it’s not working as expected. The screen doesn't light up when I receive notifications, even though the feature is enabled.

I've tried the following troubleshooting steps:

Ensured Edge lighting is turned on in Settings > Notifications > Brief pop-up settings > Edge lighting style.

Checked Do Not Disturb settings to make sure notifications aren’t being blocked.

Restarted the phone multiple times.

Cleared cache for relevant apps and the system UI.

Tried different edge lighting styles and colors, but no luck.

Is anyone else experiencing this issue on the S25 Ultra? Any suggestions or fixes would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

UPDATE

So finally, after spending the whole day trying to figure it out, this is what I did!

Reset App Preferences

1️⃣ Go to Settings > Apps
2️⃣ Tap the three-dot menu (top right)
3️⃣ Select Reset app preferences
4️⃣ Confirm Reset (This won’t delete your data, but it will reset permissions and default settings)

After doing this, Edge lighting notifications started working again! Hope this helps anyone facing the same issue.

Let me know if this works for you!

Be calm and proceed to surf dg shop abudhabi mall and show at customer service. Because it's authorized distributors for samsung for uae 🇦🇪. If you out of uae please proceed for authorized shop and show your device. Don't worry within one year it's responsibility of samsung.
Have a good day 😊 💛

I have one solution, so it is better to reset all settings. Please see this screenshot.1739083702668.jpg

That seems like a draconian thing to do for a simple problem! 😄
