S9+ Plus Color Banding issue and Crusing black color andd gradients

Recently i have noticed that.

in dark rooms the gradients are not smooth and there is issue with black color range.

it is very bad while watching darker scenes and at that time the colors are distorted and not proper. i felt this issue recently after changing wallpaper from themes.

is this software level or hardware level issue. i can see the screenshot sent to other phone looks the same so its may be software issue.

i have also tried cache and data partition wipe/factory reset. but same thing.

i think it's a hardware issue.Do you have ever changed your display or is your display cracked?please reply

No i havent changed display and there is no any crack. it looks perfectly fine on higher brightness. its just when i am in dark room or in night when brightness is at low. i checked few forums and they

suggested it happens with some samsung mobile display

Also i am not able to see/identify the first top row black strip in the mobile display. but look fine in other devices.

Then i think the display connector cable got damaged some how that's why in low brightness the colour banding problem happens.If you have warranty still then please go to official samsung service centre. Don't repair your phone from somewhere else because they can also damage your working good display. Thank you.

The issue seems quite widespread and I hope Samsung comes with an official response on this soon.

no not even on current latest software, its an issue present onpy in Exynos variants, idk why but most probably due to faulty video decoder software
