I noticed my s7 edge after the newest update has a serious battery issue. Maybe from new background processes with the updates. Here's a few suggestions to keep up that battery life. they helped me so maybe they can help you.

1. use the official Samsung charger/fast charger
2. keep an eye on widgets, as they can consume battery fast
3. If you notice battery being affected badly, sometimes a restart helps
4. With our Edge models, use the edge screen on the optimise side and click optimise to help battery usage decrease
5. In settings, go to battery , then close background running applications
6. in the same battery settings, concider putting the battery down to power saving mode. Either minimum or maximum.
7. I'm not sure whether this is either placebo or real, but try not to overcharge as either way, it doesn't benefit the phone
8. Always on display for some reason now takes a lot more battery than it used to, so concider turning it off if not needed

Hope they help as they helped me keeping up with battery.

I use an S7. No matter how many apps I put to sleep, it still drains fast as hell. And also, not usin AOD. I think the battery life is over, cause lithium batteries deplete over time. And, it's been two years since the S7/S7edge has been launched. So its battery definitely needs a replace.
