Galaxy S
I am writing to express my disappointment regarding my recently purchased Samsung Galaxy S26.
After using the device for few weeks and comparing its performance side-by-side with a Galaxy S23 and a Galaxy A54, I have noticed several significant issues that I did not expect from a flagship-tier device.
I would like to highlight the following technical concerns:
1. Image Quality Degradation: Photos taken with the S26 appear noticeably "soft" and lack detail. When compared to the older S23, the S23 images are consistently sharper and more vibrant, whereas the S26 results look degraded.
2. 3x Zoom Focus Issues: The 3x telephoto lens on the S26 takes considerably longer to lock focus compared to the S23. Even once focused, the resulting images remain soft and lack clarity.
3. Lens Switching Lag: The transition when switching between the 1x/2x and 3x lenses is sluggish on the S26. On the S23, this transition is smooth and near-instant, but on my unit, there is a visible delay.
As a flagship user, I expected an iterative improvement in hardware and software optimization. However, the current camera performance is underwhelming and feels like a step backward from previous generations.
