S25 Ultra, South Africa is just a dumping ground

It is shocking to see that here in South Africa, we are expected to pay far more for the S25 Ultra than other countries, with less benefits and options than other countries.

We get the 256Gb in 4 colours, and the 512Gb and 1Tb in Henry Fords colour choice of Black?

Our base 256GB at R29000 is the same price as the UK 512GB version, but you have 4 colours to choose from and some great benefits.

Then 50% off of your small selection of cases and a paltry 15% of the Buds 3 Pro, whereas the US has 72% off of the.Buds 3 Pro....(that's R1300 in the US versus possibly, R4100 for the Buds 3?)

From a trade in perspective, expect nothing more than R11500 for your S24 Ultra in Excellent condition (before inspection), and the prices dip from their for your prized smart phone.

Why Samsung? Are we not one of your important markets for your product?

I have been a loyal Samsung user since the smart phone i7500 and to see how we are being ripped off, makes me really reconsider my upgrade path for this year and the future.

It's the supplier and expenses they incurr in getting the devices here, duty, shipping and their profit margins.... Note factory prices do not descriminate....

I understand his point of view. These companies are ripping us off. The screen repair costs for these phones is very questionable. However, you also raised fair points. Bottom line, yall are both right

Shipping to SA and all other countries would be around the same, same vendor, so why profit margins higher? Duties, I'd understand but this is ridiculous

Discounts are based on trade advantages of the seller in that region. Some regions have factories manufacturing in their regions, in those honestly the price can't be the same..... take it from a business point of view, you'll understand

Explain then why we don't get all the color options for 512gb nd 1tb? Why no 16gb? I have been a Samsung Fanboy for over 16 years and I understand where you're coming from.....I'm also in Business and have run a few drop shipping sites as well, so I'm well aware of freight and logistics costs, duties and market penetration tactics. The S23 ultra release included R3000 voucher for the store, Tab S6 Lite, further shop discounts, Samsung care 6 month subs and the storage bump to boot...

The problem are our local distributors, for example I was give the address and contact details of 3 store hear in Zimbabwe for pre-ordering from the samsung site, called them they were talking all kinds of stories and they said they'd get back to me, they haven't to date and I tried contacting them via WhatsApp to follow up, I'm getting blue tick treatment, so will such a supplier surely be capable of that kind of convenience? I think not

We have Samsung South Africa bro, no sub distributors here.....Samsung is the main distributor of Samsung devices in South Africa...so no distribute discounts and sub deals...SA very different to Zim

Not sure why you're defending this in such a simple and arb manner, logically the only disparity is duties that the South African Government imposes. Samsung, from a logistics perspective wouldn't have to impose higher carriage charges than the US or UK, that portion for Shipping carriage is relatively the same

They don't own freight vehicles remember, soo what ever freight charge comes from the freight company of choice.... you'll be surprised how much these devices cost in store this side....
