S24 Ultra Worst Display Ever

I got my S24 Ultra 2days ago and to my surprise I see the worst color ever on a Samsung screen plus this weird refresh rate issue which gets worse in dark mode. You can see the grey areas in the UI, instagram app etc. take a good 5-7 secs to refresh/flicker to finally settle down. The blacks are not blacks in some UI elements. And, MY GOD! The grainy display! I don't think it's a software bug because I can clearly see it being static when scrolling. And, the worst of all is the washed out colors even after tweaking vividness. WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU SAMSUNG? I have used S8, S10, S22U and all of these had top notch displays. WHAT NONSENSE OF A SCREEN IS THIS? How is this a feature? Where are the fixes? It hurts because we spend our hard earned money with high expectations from a brand like Samsung. I feel like selling it off and switching to a iPhone instead.

Bro, I did get it replaced immediately in less than 24 hours. The retailers were confused as well to see what was happening. They even replaced and gave me one from a different supplier, which was manufactured not in Vietnam. But, guess what? THE SAME PROBLEM exists in this unit as well. It was fine for like 4-5 hours of unboxing and setting up this unit, and then it just came back. So, I'm pretty sure it's a widespread software issue and not particular to these units. I'm not ruling out hardware issues, too. And, the worst part, I can't get it replaced again as per the store's policy

The only thing you can do now is to mail samsung india's ceo. Coz as far as i know, customer care won't help you regarding this matter.

Strangely this is the 1st time I'm hearing a issue regarding display quality in Samsung's top of the line Flagship. Recently on May 11th i got my new S23 from flipkart but i don't have a single issue from the device specially from the display side. It’s vivid, bright & sharp. The colors pops & the blacks are totally black with pixels turned off. In simple words, the display is absolutely gorgeous & stunning...

True. My S22 U started showing a green line right after the April 24 update. Hence, I had to upgrade because spending so much on replacing the display (which wasn't my fault to begin with) is ridiculous. Also, I live in Dhaka, Bangladesh, bro, so I don't think emailing will help either.

At least you should try to get out of this problem coz as far as i know, customer care won't help you regarding this...

Hmmm, i didn't get it through the official store, so I'm skeptical if they'll try to help anyway. But I'll definitely give it a shot. I can see there are many others facing the same issue. They should recall the entire S24 product line.

Did you find a fix or the reason behind the issue? I recently got an s25 and your thread is the only relevant thread regarding this particular issue. Only happens on insta on both light and dark mode but more noticeable on the dark mode.

Oh, also, the 3x Zoom lens' exposure drops when switching from 1x to 3x while recording.

That could be a software bug, which would be fixed later via updates...
