If you're experiencing rough or distorted sound after the Android update on your Samsung S23 Ultra, here are a few solutions you can try:
1. Restart Your Device
A simple restart can resolve many issues caused by software glitches.
2. Clear Cache Partition
Sometimes, system cache can cause audio issues after updates.
To clear the cache partition:
1. Turn off your phone.
2. Press and hold the Volume Up button and the Power button simultaneously.
3. When the Samsung logo appears, release both buttons.
4. Navigate to Wipe Cache Partition using the volume buttons and select it with the power button.
5. Once completed, select Reboot System Now.
3. Check Audio Settings
Ensure that the Dolby Atmos or any sound enhancement feature isn't causing the distortion:
1. Go to Settings > Sounds and Vibration > Advanced Sound Settings.
2. Turn off Dolby Atmos or any sound effects and check if the issue persists.
4. Test in Safe Mode
Safe Mode disables third-party apps and helps determine if the issue is app-related:
1. Turn off your phone.
2. Hold the Power button until the Samsung logo appears.
3. Release the Power button and immediately press and hold the Volume Down button.
4. Once in Safe Mode, check if the sound issue persists. If the sound works fine in Safe Mode, it’s likely caused by a third-party app.
5. Update Apps
Ensure all your apps, especially Instagram and YouTube, are up-to-date:
Go to the Google Play Store > My Apps and update any pending apps.
6. Reinstall the Software Update (Factory Reset)
If the above solutions don’t work, a factory reset may help, but ensure to back up your data before proceeding.
Go to Settings > General Management > Reset > Factory Data Reset.
7. Contact Samsung Support
If the issue persists after trying these solutions, it might be a bug introduced by the update. Contact Samsung Support or visit a service center for further assistance.
