I have been using my Galaxy S23 (8/256) for more than a week (12 days) now, and I have been getting a really average battery life.
Everyone I see says they get around 7-8 Hrs of SOT at adaptive refresh rate, but for me I have only managed to get, at best, 6Hrs of SOT on a light day (with NO camera use).
On moderate days, my SOT is about 4-4.5 Hrs where I use 10-15mins of camera.

What am I doing wrong?

Note: I am on Wifi 90% of the day. I do not play any games on my phone. I only have social media on my phone and I do simple browsing. I turn on Power Saver at 30% everyday.

My previous iPhone 11 (at 75% battery health) would give me around 6-8 Hrs SOT (and around 10Hrs SOT EVERYDAY when I first bought it) with the EXACT SAME routine and usage.

I understand your concern about the battery life on your Samsung Galaxy S23. It can be frustrating when you're not getting the expected battery performance. There are several factors that can affect battery life on a smartphone, and here are some things you can try to improve it:

1. **Check Battery Usage**: Go to "Settings" > "Battery" to see which apps or processes are consuming the most battery. It can help you identify any power-hungry apps that you might need to manage better or consider using less frequently.

2. **Optimize Apps**: Some apps may run in the background and consume battery even when not in use. You can go to "Settings" > "Apps" and check for apps that are running in the background. You can restrict background activity for specific apps to save battery.

3. **Screen Brightness**: Lowering the screen brightness or enabling adaptive brightness can have a significant impact on battery life.

4. **Refresh Rate**: If your phone allows it, try using a lower refresh rate (e.g., 60Hz) to save battery power.

5. **Location Services**: Limit the use of location services, as they can be a significant drain on battery life.

6. **Unnecessary Features**: Disable any unnecessary features like vibration, Always-On Display, or animated wallpapers if you are not using them regularly.

7. **Software Updates**: Ensure that your phone's software is up to date, as updates often include optimizations and improvements to enhance battery life.

8. **Factory Reset (if needed)**: As a last resort, if the battery life doesn't improve significantly, consider performing a factory reset to start fresh, but remember to back up your important data first.

Battery life can vary between devices due to different hardware configurations, software optimizations, and usage patterns. It's worth noting that battery life may improve or stabilize after a few charge-discharge cycles.

If you have tried these suggestions and the battery life still doesn't meet your expectations, you might want to contact Samsung Support or visit a Samsung Service Center for further assistance. They can examine your device and determine if there's any hardware or software issue affecting the battery performance.

Keep in mind that the advertised battery life may be based on specific testing conditions, so individual usage patterns may lead to different results.
