Hello Fellow Members,
Recently upgraded to S23 Ultra from Redmi K20 Pro and I'm quite impressed with the phone.

Everything in the phone is great. The look, feel, experience, performance, camera, audio (obviously with a portable DAC), battery, design, display etc.

THERE'S THIS ONE THING THAT I NOTICED JUST TODAY:-

I tried to make a Snap from Snapchat while i was in my car but something happened.
After recording, The video playback started normally but just as the beatdrop of the track kicked in, the volume suddenly became very low.

To be on a safer side I tried experimenting this with the Samsung camera app as well. But faced same issue.

Troubleshooting that I tried but got no solution:-
1. Restarted the phone
2. Tried with other devices on same tracks
3. Changed certain audio settings (in camera, voice recorder, Dolby settings)
4. Checked the EQ settings
5. Gave all the necessary unrestricted permission
6. Checked for updates
7. Tried with other tracks

But no solution. The same and different songs being recorded on other devices (S22 ULTRA, K20 PRO, SGNOTE 9 AND SGS6) played so **bleep** perfectly but with S23U, i m facing this issue .

I'm assuming its some sort of auditory protection thing. Is there a way to disable it?
I tried finding it but got nothing on the phone as well as on the internet.
If that's the case, then I know better how to protect my ears @samsungindia.

Would be really helpful and appreciated, if somebody has faced similar issue and how did u resolved it?

Thanks and Regards,
Raj

Search "media volume limit" inside settings and check whether it's turned on or set to a lower value.

However, I am pretty sure that this is a bug. Whenever Samsung launches a flagship with all the bells and whistles, there will be a lot of bugs. Last year also, immediately after the launch of the s22 series, this platform was filled with reports of bugs. But it will be fixed soon with an update, like last year.

Already checked it brother.
It's turned off.

Have talked to the retailer. Lets hope for a proper solution

Wasn't expecting this from Samsung. I've used S6, Note 9 in the past. These phones never had a single problem apart from minor few.

Im also having the same problem on my new 23 ultra. When I record outside and there is any wind my voice will go in and out from normal to what almost sounds like im underwater or muffled.  Its like theres a noise cancelation feature on the comera. I didnt ever have this issue with my 21 ultra. I record content for youtube and tiktok many of which are filmed outside. My sound is so important to me. I have a ticket with samsung right now to send my phone in to have it repaired but with your phone having similar issues im not sure a repair or replacement with a new 23 ultra will fix it. Were you able to find a solution? Im not sure what to do now.
