Galaxy SNow, since you're probably not gonna get any real help from them, here are a couple of options:
Escalate the Case – Honestly, if you haven’t done it yet, you could try escalating your case. Go beyond the regular service center and reach out to Samsung’s higher-level customer support. You might get lucky and have someone who’s willing to honor the replacement, especially if you push the point about how the issue started after an official update. You can even contact them through social media or public channels like Twitter or Facebook where they’re more likely to respond to bad press.
Third-Party Repair – If Samsung isn’t offering a free replacement, you could look into third-party repair shops. They usually cost less than the official Samsung repair, and some might even have the parts to replace the screen or fix the issue. If you’re going down this route, just make sure it’s a reputable shop to avoid messing up your phone more.
DIY Fix (if you're brave) – There are forums where people talk about DIY fixes for screen issues like this (for example, some suggest recalibrating the screen or using a specific app to try and fix display glitches). But... if you're not familiar with handling phone repairs, this could be risky. I wouldn't recommend it unless you're comfortable messing around with your phone’s internals.
Live with it or sell it – I totally get why you don’t want to pay 13k Rs for something that’s clearly Samsung's fault. You could try living with it if it's not too distracting, or you could sell the phone as is and cut your losses. But if you're done with Samsung, selling it might give you some funds to buy a different brand.
Honestly, Samsung's track record with issues like this is just wild. They're notorious for not owning up to their mistakes and putting the burden on the customer. Sounds like you made the right decision to consider jumping ship—there are other brands out there that might offer a better experience and actually stand behind their products.
