S22 Ultra motherboard DEAD after update!

I have an s22 ultra which i bought in FEB 2022. Got with samsung care+ for extra protection for 2 years. 
The phone was working fine but after the recent update in August I started getting issues. 

Firstly started with network issues. I thought its a sim problem at first, Got my sim replaced and even tried eSIM. But still the same issue.

Then 2 weeks back while scrolling through Instagram the phone screen hanged and the it went off and kept restarting but got stuck on samsung logo. Didn't turn on. Then few times I got some blue screen saying DOWNLOAD and few more things in Chinese.

I looked it up online and found out I wasn't the only one. After the update soooo many people have faced the same issue.

I took the phone to samsung. They said the motherboard needs to be replaced and it will cost AED1700!! My samsung care expired like 6 months back.

The technician suggested that I show my phone to local phone repair shops as it will cost cheaper to fix the phone there. But even they couldn't fix the phone as even they said that the motherboard is gone.

What is this samsung. A flagship device which I paid AED5499 lasted only 2 years and 6 months because of YOUR software issues. 

Samaung should be fixing these devices for free for their software issues that ruined the motherboard.

I have really lost trust in samsung after this issue.. 

You should really take responsibility for what your software has done to the device.

Same happened to me last week...my extended warranty also got expired june 24 , thy doing with the plan ..I lost trust on samsung ..hereafter no samsung

Same here !! After the 6.1 update, there was some but very rare screen froze. But as the software patches comes, more the lag issues increased. Before the update the S22 Ultra was working flawlessly. But the software update ruined it. I faced the major problem like boot loops and screen froze from November 2024. Now on 30th Jan, 2025 after the January security patch update, i was hoping Samsung would finally acknowledge and fix the issue, after updating the update now the S22 ultra is completely dead. I have purchased the Samsung Z Fold5 last year and I assure this was my last Samsung purchase. This completely ruined the brand loyalty for me.

Same happened with me, my S22 Ultra is dead after Dec '24 and Jan '24 updates. It went on to a rebooting loop and eventually stopped rebooting. Then it did not boot again.

Would SAMSUNG be able to provide any resolution for the same, the phone only worked for like 2years and 4months. Then what is the use promising years of android and security updates.

I tried and fought a lot with samsung and consumer rights but nothing helped. They said I'll have to pay for the repair which was almost AED 2000. I had a lot of data backed up on samsung cloud and Knox so I was left with no choice to get s24 ultra. Will use it till it's under samsung care and then sell it and move to Apple.
Lost all trust in Samsung after this. Especially after the negligence of the repair staff not have records of me giving them the phone and then accusing me that this is all my fault and playing reverse card on the consumer rights complaint.
I even told them to google it and see that this is a worldwide issue and samsung needs to fix this. But nothing worked.

I have an s22 ultra tgat was bought end november 2022 and after last update i did in november my phone just went to reboot forever  and when ut rarely manages to fully boot up , the wifi cant be switched on at all and then just goes off again, i had 3 years warranty but that seems to not be useful at all since they found a way to void my warranty for 2 small dents im the frame that been there since almost when i got it . Shame on you samsung

This is exactly what happened with my S22 Ultra. Brought it back from the service center who told me the same thing. Samsung needs pls join me in raising this issue via x - twitter and LinkedIn- I’ll share the link on this thread. Samsung needs to pay heed to this.
