Since it is approaching 4 months now since the S22 Ultra last had any updates (1 October Security Patch) I'm also thinking of changing my phone's CSC to at least get the security updates, never mind Android 14 and One UI 6. My question now is, will this affect the phone's ability to automatically install updates in the future or will it revert to me having to manually download and install them?

Yah. Apps can be affected. You will have to change to a csc5 region that supports samsung pay, unfortunately i dont know that information but am sure its readily available on the internet

Like i have the Galaxy Watch 3 bought from Amazon. It must have come from somewhere in South America because it didn't have Samsung Pay and had blood oxygen sensing. When I changed CSC on it long ago to a different region it had Samsung Pay but the blood oxygen sensing fell away.

Update: I just finished chaning my phone's CSC to THL which literally took a minute. Downloaded both available updates which took about 15 minutes to download and install. Then I changed my phone's CSC back to XFA which was another minute.

It's sad that flagship device owners in South Africa have to resort to these workarounds just to get updates.1704546406316.jpg1704546406339.jpg
